Please see below for information on our Winter 2025 classes.

Spring show to be held on the afternoon of May 10th at Henry Wisewood School 

All team will be performing at the Winter and Spring Show 

Please ensure that all gymnasts are wearing gym appropriate clothing to class that allows them to move around.
​NO jeans or socks. Bare-feet, dance or gymnastics slippers work best!

*All ages for classes are guidelines. The best interests of the gymnast and group will guide decisions on where to place an individual.

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Calgary & Area provides grants of up to $500 per eligible child, per year (January 1st - December 31st) towards sport registration fees. Click here for more information.

Preschool: 45 minutes per week
​
Recommended Age: Preschool Age 3 - Preschool Age 4

This group provides a fun introductory class for 3-4 year olds, where they will get the opportunity to learn fundamental movement skills and basic foundational rhythmic gymnastics skills, while bonding with other gymnasts.  The gymnasts will also learn a group routine, which they have the opportunity to perform in our Winter and Spring shows.  
 
Cancelled for Winter 2025 due to low enrollment



Beginners/Intermediates: 1.5 hours per week (Monday)

Recommended Age: Kindergarten /Grade 1  to Grades 2/3

Combined for Winter 2025. 

This group provides an introduction to the various apparatus used in rhythmic gymnastics while continuing to develop foundational movement and rhythmic gymnastics skills. The emphasis is on fun, learning new skills, and working on coordination and flexibility. The gymnasts will incorporate dance and apparatus skills into a group routine.   They will have the opportunity to perform in our Winter and Spring Shows and potentially other events within the province.

Performing groups

All performing groups are open to new gymnasts with coach's discretion - previous dance or gymnastics experience is not necessary although it is highly recommended. All of our performing groups work towards improving flexibility and technical skill in a non-competitive environment. These groups perform in our Winter and Spring Shows, the Provincial Gymnastraeda, and at various other events throughout the year.

* All performing group members are expected to participate in their performing group for the full year.

** There may be some additional costs associated with the performing groups for equipment and/or costumes. We make every effort to make these affordable, and all decisions regarding expenses are discussed with the parents and gymnasts prior to purchase.​

Jeunesse: 3 hours per week

Recommended Age: Grades 4 to 6 

The Jeunesse Performing Team combines rhythmic gymnastics, dance and teamwork with a greater focus on performance than our introductory classes.  This group will work on improving apparatus skill, body technique, and flexibility.  They will work on routines for performance opportunities including our club Winter and Spring shows, Provincial Gymnaestradas, and various other events throughout the province.
​
Note: Parent Volunteers are required for supervision of practices (in accordance with Safe Sport guidelines for our gymnasts and coaches)​.

New gymnasts are welcome to this group at the discretion of the coach.  Previous dance or gymnastics experience is an asset.   The Junior Performing Team offers an opportunity to combine dance and gymnastics with a performance focus.  This group will work on improving apparatus skill, body technique, and flexibility.  They will work on routines for performance opportunities including Winter and Spring shows, Provincial Gymnaestrada, and various other events.

This group of experienced gymnasts focuses on challenging themselves in apparatus skills and body technique whilst having fun and keeping fit. This group is open to new gymnasts, however, admittance is at the discretion of the coach. The group will have the opportunity to perform at our annual Winter and Spring Shows as well as various other events throughout the year.

The ladies group's focus is towards fun and fitness in a social setting. No experience is necessary and there is no age limit! This group participates in several performances throughout the year. Many of the gymnasts are long time members and have participated in various Provincial, National, and World Gymnaestradas.
