Job Description: Recreational Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach

NorGlen Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is recruiting Rhythmic Gymnastics Coaches for our Fall 2022 session (and beyond). Coaches will focus on teaching introductory level classes to gymnasts aged 4-10.
NorGlen RG serves Lakeview and surrounding communities in Calgary, AB. We focus on providing recreational and performance based rhythmic gymnastics to children and adults of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and skill levels. We are a non-profit club and have been in operation since 1979.
Our requirements include:
Terms: Contract position, with approximately 1-2 hours per week in the evenings for the Fall 2022 session. Possibility to continue for future sessions.

Our requirements include:
- NCCP Level 1 training or certification, or commitment to become trained prior to the Fall session.
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C.
- Specific skills required include coaching of basic body and apparatus skills to recreational gymnasts, choreography, and communication with parents/guardians about classes, performances, etc.
- Choreograph athletes’ routines, including music selection.
- Excellent coaching, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working with children in a leadership role is an asset.
- Confident and positive with gymnasts of all ability levels.
- Being dedicated to making rhythmic gymnastics a positive and enjoyable experience.
- Ability to follow club policies and health and safety procedures.
- Self-starter, willing to lead without direction.
- The ability to communicate in English both orally and written is a requirement. Fluency in other languages would be considered an asset but not a requirement.
- The Coach will be required to work with the club governance structure of a Board of Directors.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check is required.
